The author proposes a new direction of food market development, emphasing the formation of food clusters as an instrument of unlocking the potential of Ukrainian manufacturers. To achieve this goal certain tasks must be accomplished, such as: systematizing the experience of creating agricultural clusters in Ukraine, developing the classification criteria; justifying, on the basis of the Ukrainian experience, a methodological approach to the formation of local food clusters in the context of the main benefits for its members.
