Activity of Local Governments Kalmykia during the First World War

World War I changed the activities of the local authorities of the Kalmyk steppe. The article analyzes the changes in the activities of ulus and aimak gatherings, which depended on rare economic opportunities. The author concludes that, despite the difficult socio-economic situation in Russia in general, local governments of Kalmykia contributed to the cause of the army and assisted the civilian population.
