The Congress of Vienna (1814-1815) and Its Participants: Communication Instruments, Mistakes, Achievements

The article is devoted to the analysis of communication aspect of the Vienna Congress. The authors examine the relations between participants, communication instruments of achieving political goals used by them. The authors provide several examples of communication mistakes and communication achievements of the participants. Particular attention is focused on the use of press as a relatively new instrument of influencing public opinion and representing the ruling elite. The authors also explore the role of outstanding women in communication between the main participants of the congress.
