This article is devoted to the theme of organizational readiness for change (ORC). Today, top management demands the assessment of readiness. But there is no sufficient scientific basic for such an assessment and the existing concepts are somewhat controversial. The author’s goal is to systematize the knowledge of organizational readiness for change. Various sources of the information about ORC are examined, such as theories of organizational variations, dissertational and other scientific works about ORC, practical research of organizational readiness in large companies. The article may be used as a starting point for further theoretical and practical research in this area, which may lead to removing the contradictions specified in the article.
