Soviet public administration in the 1941-1945 Eastern Transbaikalian Region

The article examines the changes in public administration of the Eastern Transbaikal Region during the Great Patriotic War. The authors analyze the forms and methods of Chita Oblast Soviet of Workers Deputies administration in 1941–1945 on the basis of archival material. During this period, structural changes have taken place in the system of regional governance, addressing the economic, social and cultural development of the Chita region, as well as challenges posed by the war, which contributed to the achievement of a common goal — to mobilize all forces and resources to fight the enemy.
