Konstantin Ostrovityanov: A Great Soviet Economist (1892-1969)

The article explores the achievements of one of the greatest Soviet scientists, who enriched economics with a wealth of new creative ideas — Konstantin Ostrovityanov. The author, based on his own memoirs, Ostrovityanov’s and his associates’ memoirs writes about Ostrovityanov’s talent for teaching, scientific work and his activity in the organization of science. The article reveals Ostrovityanov’s temper and good relationships with people. Special attention is paid to the polemist gifts of the well-known Soviet scientist.
