Modernization of Humanitarian Education During the Perestroika

The replacement of the political government of the country created objectively favorable conditions for the conversion to the new level of education reform, especially important due to being in a deep crisis. The article examines the processes of renovation of social sciences research and education system. Literature as a school subject was an important problem, since the majority of textbooks was out of date. The solution to a personnel problem was also crucially important for the renovation of ex-soviet social sciences. The rejection of authoritarian methods of teaching and upbringing and overcoming the disrespectful attitude towards the students required massive changes in teachers psychology. The basic principles of education development, formed during the period of the restructuring, were humanization, humanitarization, democratization and openness of education.
