Youth Riots in the 1960's and the Emergence of Youth Policy

The article contains the analysis of youth protest activity in the1960s.The opposition of youth movements and governmental institutions on both sides of the "Iron Curtain", reflects the global political processes of the twentieth century. The author analyzes the reasons for youth protests, their mechanism and consequences. This paper presents a comparative analysis of forms and methods of response from government to the youth protest in the Western and the Eastern Blocs. The authors make conclusions about the consequences of the confrontation between the youth and the government and its significance for the modern world.
