The Problem of Public Participation in Forming the Structure of Local Administrative Bodies

Community participation in local self-government is currently the subject of numerous discussions and provokes the interest of both domestic and foreign researchers.
In the Russian Federation, the law establishes various forms of participation of the population in local self-government. In particular, citizens can influence the choice of the organizational form of local administration.
In the article, the author draws attention to the fact that, according to article 130 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation population of a municipality has the right to independently determine the structure of its organs, which is an expression of autonomy of local self-government.
The author concludes that it is necessary to attract the public to participation in the regulation of the organizational structure of local self-government.
