Estimation of German Military and Political Situation in the Late XIX - Early XX Centuries by the Russian Government

The article analyzes the aspirations of the Russian leadership to monitor a military-political situation in the German empire at the turn of XXth century with active use of the information provided by the higher officer corps. The author uses military reports and the documents reflecting the character of evolution of a personal contact of emperors Nikolay II and Wilhelm II.
