Medical-Economic Analysis and its Role in Health Care Quality Management

Public health is the absolute priority of national policy in most developed countries. The level of development of the health care system is one of the most important competitive advantages in the global economy, which results in an urgent need for healt care reform in Russia. Nevertheless, the issue of quality of medicine in Russia is still unresolved. The article substantiates the effectiveness of the implementation of medical-economic analysis as the key economic method of health care quality regulation. Based on the results of a study model of clinical and economic analysis in the health care system in France, the author substantiates the exigency of studying the international experience and adapting the best practices of French healthcare reforms to the contemporary realities of the Russian health care system.
