- the analysis and monitoring of agricultural and food policy in Russia and Eurasian countries;
- the development of methodological approaches to assess and monitoring food security;
- the assessment of the influence of climate change on food security and agricultural production;
- the assessment of prospects of the major agro-food markets, etc.
- construction of general and partial equilibrium models in order to obtain quantitative estimations of the impact of agricultural policies on production and consumption of agricultural and food products,
- formation of a database on foreign trade of agricultural and food products in Eurasia.
- Practical activities of the department aim to cooperate with the Eurasian governmental institutions and other organizations in the field of food security, as well as the implementation of the joint research projects, including cooperation of small enterprises, development of small and medium enterprises in the region.ˆà
