(c) Professional activities Membership: Russian Mineralogical Society, International Union of Crystallography, European Crystallographic Association Manuscript review service: The American Mineralogist, Mineralogical Magazine, Zeitschrift fЭr Kristallographie, European Journal of Mineralogy, The Canadian Mineralogist, Acta Crystallographica, Inorganica Chimica Acta, Materials Chemistry and Physics, Crystallography Reports. (d) Research and Teaching My scientific interests include crystal chemistry of minerals and synthetic solids, X-ray crystal structure analysis, and electron density distribution. My current research has been focused on genetic aspects of mineral crystal chemistry with emphasis on phosphates with amphoteric oxocomplexes, which have promising technological potential as ion conductors, adsorbents, molecular sieves and catalysts. These researches are on the basis of an original course of lectures on genetic aspects of crystal chemistry of minerals and synthetic solids that I read to high-level students of the department of crystallography. My usual duty is training students in X-ray measuring, crystal structures' solution and refinement. (v) Collaborators and Other Affiliations (a) Collaborators Dr. Prof. Werner Massa.
