Non-commercial reproduction

Data are provided with the intent that they are readily available for personal and public non-commercial use and may be reproduced, in part or in whole and by any means, without charge or further permission from IWSG. However, proper reference to contributors of original data to the database must be provided in all cases, and due diligence should be exercised in ensuring the accuracy of the materials reproduced. Data are provided on an end-user basis - that is, data are provided to users, but are not to be passed on to third parties or otherwise redistributed.

If Bird Species Report was based entirely or partially on information from published sources (Data source field = qb or bi), it is strongly recommended to use original bibliographic source in citation. Original bibliography can be tracked down by going to Breeding Conditions Report page of respective data contributor in respective year.

Reproduction of multiple copies of materials on this site, in whole or in part, for the purposes of commercial or for-profit redistribution is prohibited except with written permission from the International Wader Study Group.

Data quality — neither database manager(s), nor International Wader Study Group guarantees either the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of the data or information provided, and neither accepts any liability in this regard. While all the possible effort was made to transfer correctly data from questionnaires or published sources to the database, some errors can be present, and no systematic effort was made to reveal them. It is recommended that data users contact original data contributor(s) directly for a confirmation of data accuracy, when data are of critical role in research, environmental applications, etc. We do not publish the list of data contributors to the WEB as a single entry to prevent them from becoming an easy target for spammers, but contact details of all can be retrieved from breeding conditions reports at http://www.arcticbirsds.ru, having name, year and site coordinates.
