Species distribution for ETS proteins

According to Pfam database there have been found 487 ETS genes to date, most of which turned out to belong to different species of animal kingdom. One ETS protein was found in avian leukemia virus E26 and no such proteins were found in plants or Fungi.
Among animals, ETS genes were found in Annelida (7 proteins), Mollusca (4), Porifera (3), Ctenophora (1), Nematoda (24), Cnidaria (3), Chordata (388), Arthropoda (47), Platyhelmintes (1) and Echinodermata (8).

The following table shows the number of ETS genes present in genomes of most intensively studied species.
