MAIN RESULTS

Biofouling test of material specimen

Subtropical Test Center. Atmospheric test station Adler. Test desks with specimens.

Improvement of methodical apparatus of environmental climatic tests operation (the head of Lab Karpov V.A., sen. res. ass. Koval'chuk Yu.L., sen. res. ass. Mikhailova O.L., sen. res. ass. Shadrin Yu. N., sen. res. ass. Poltarukha O.P.)

Three governmental standards and one supplement to acting standard were developed and joined into force.

Improvement of engineering requirements to technique and materials on climatic and biological capability (the head of Lab Karpov V.A., sen. res. ass. Mikhailova O.L., sen. res. ass. Shadrin Yu. N.)

General engineering requirements to weapons and defense technology were developed and joined into force.

Development of new ecologically pure barrier materials for products of mechanical engineering (the head of Lab Karpov V.A., sen. res. ass. Koval'chuk Yu.L., sen. res. ass. Mikhailova O.L., sen. res. ass. Poltarukha O.P.)

Two patents on receipts of barrier rustproof materials were developed and got. The formulas of bio-capable paintwork materials were developed, which were introduced under construction activity of rocket start in French Guiana.

Study of biology of Cirripedia Thoracica (sen. res. ass. Poltarukha O.P.)

A revision of Cirripedia Thoracica of superfamily of Chthamaloidea was undertaken. Five new genera and 1 new for science species of the given group were described. New data on geographic distribution and ecology of the species of superfamily of Chthamaloidea were obtained. On the basis of studied materials a thesis work was defended (Candidate of Biological Sciences, Ph.D).

Guide tables for nauplial larvae of mass species of cirripeds were developed for the Black Sea, northern and Far-Eastern seas of Russia. The pictures and descriptions of nauplial larvae of mass species of Cirripedia, Thoracica of littoral waters of Russian Far-Eastern seas were prepared.

New data on ecology and distribution cirripeds in communities of pelagic and littoral biofouling were obtained and published.

Faunistic composition and distribution of deep-water cirripeds of the Northern Atlantics was specified. An annotated list of the finds at the depths of more than 2000 m for the species of the given group in the seas washing Europe was prepared.

Ecological and faunistic analysis of biodiversity of cirripeds of the Black, Barents and Kara Seas, and also of the Sea of Japan, including residential species as well as species-invaders, were prepared and published.

In the fauna of Vietnam 13 new for this region species of cirripeds were revealed and geographic distribution in Vietnam waters of 16 species was also specified. A guide table for indentification of the species of the given group in Vietnam fauna was prepared.

The study of seawater corrosion and biofouling and investigation of anti-corrosion and anti-biofouling properties of paintwork materials (the head of Lab Karpov V.A., sen. res. ass Koval'chuk Yu.L., sen. res. ass. Poltarukha O.P.)

It was shown that rate of corrosion for carbon steels at the presence of community of seawater biofouling is several tens times higher than in sea water at the same conditions under the absence of biofouling organisms.

A method for prognosis of effectiveness for anti-biofouling covers was developed.

A method for realization of full-scale tests of anti-biofouling covers was developed and published in the form of the standard of the system of all-Russian State Standard of the RF.

Recommendations on protective and anti-biofouling properties of Russian and foreign paintwork materials were developed, which were included into the "Guide on protection against corrosion and biofouling of the ships and water crafts of MMF (Navy of Russia)".

It was revealed that formation of biofouling community on the neutral and covered by anti-biofouling copper-bearing paint surfaces differed markedly not only by the rate of development, but also the sequence and character of succession phases, though led to the similar climacteric community.
