The international academic conference

ETHNIC PRESS – GENESIS, STRUCTURE, DEVELOPMENT TRENDS

The Conference will be held on March 20-21, 2015 at Ammosov North-Easternљ
Federal University (Yakutsk). Conference proceedings will be published at the endљ
of the Conference as a collection of scientific articles and available in electronicљ

Guidelines of the Conference:
• Genesis and transformation of the structure of ethnic journalism in the course of glocalization
? National and cultural information space: mechanisms of formation
? Ethnic journalism in the sociopolitical aspect
? Ethnic mass media in the mechanism of the impact of ethnic renaissance on public conscience
? The role of the mass media in the preservation of ethnic identity in the context of globalization: ethnocultural aspect
? Ethnic journalism as a factor of countering threats to ethnic group’s culture
? Ethnic tolerance as a factor of harmonization of relations in multiethnic society
? The topic of interethnic relations in the press of multiethnic region
? Mass media as a tool for the preservation and development of ethnic culture
? Interethnic concord and responsibility of the mass media
? Mass media of national and cultural communities in multiethnic region: typology issues
? Press in the languages of minority ethnic groups: typology issues
? The role of the mass media in ethnic education

Program of the Conference, forms of participation
Forms of participation ? face-to-face, virtual.
The Conference program will include thematic sessions, roundtables, plenary and breakout sessions.
The program will be drawn up on the basis of the applications for participation and posted on the official websiteљof Ammosov North-Eastern Federal Universityљand also sent out to the participants of the Conference by e-mail after March 10, 2015.

Working language
Working languages of the Conference: Russian, English.

Financing
Accommodation of foreign participants: at the expense of the inviting party.
Arrival of participants: not earlier than March 19, 2015.
Travel, subsistence and other expenses: at the expense of the sending organization or the participants of the Conference.
There is no registration fee.

Applications must be submitted in electronic form and consist of two files in .doc or .docx format:
1) application for participation in Russian or English; file should be named after author?s last name (for example, Ivanov I.I. (application).doc). The application should contain the following information: last name, first name, middle name, academic degree, title, business address, telephone, fax and e-mail address, name of institution, need for accommodation.
2) text of the article (for example, Ivanov I.I. (application).doc) in Russian or English; no more than 10 pages in length.
In order to improve the promptness of the collection publication, please use the following guidelines in preparing your article:
- A Word document, А4 size.
- Page setting: margins (top: 2.0 cm, bottom: 3.0 cm, left: 2.4 cm, right: 2.5 cm).
- Paragraph: 1.25 cm indent; single line space; body text: 14-point font.
