American sociologist Robert Alford transformed Kuhnian paradigm into the paradigm of inquiry, put together under its aegis theories, methods, and evidence, and developed multiparadigmatic model of sociology composed of multivariate, interpretive, and historical paradigms. These paradigms covertly exist in the form of foreground and background arguments in major classical sociological works that, in its turn, points out to the latently-implicit conceptualtheoretical multiparadigmatism (LITM) of sociology. However, it turns out to be that Alford unjustifiably reduced paradigms of inquiry to research methods and, consequently, reduced multiparadigmatic sociology to multimethodical. And that requires further search of sociological paradigms outside the Alfords' model.
