Russian language and Slavic culture forum in Sardinia

May 14, 2015 Internationalšforum of Russian language and Slavic culture with the participation of vice-rector of Moscow State University Kortava Tatyana Vladimirovnaš was heldš in the capital of the autonomous Italian region of Sardinia, at the State University of Cagliari, accordingšto the initiative of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus and the Association “Citizens of the World”.

The Center of Russian Language and Slavicš culture “Native Word” was createdš in the presence of representatives of associations “Sardinia Belarus”, “Sardinia Ukraine”, the city library of Russian books, Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchateš in the city of Cagliari at the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Belarus under the auspices of the International Association “Citizens of the World”šMayš15, 2015. The director was assigned the teacher of Russian as a foreign language at the University of Cagliari and the participantš of theš Immigration Board of under the administration of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia – Inna Nikolaevna Naletko.

With the active assistance of the vice-rector of Moscow University professor Kortava Tatyana Vladimirovnaš the workš program forš the Centre wasš drawn up.šThe mainšgoal of the Center isšspreading of the Russian language and Slavic culture, Russian languageš training courses,šorganizing cultural and educational events for the Russian-speaking diaspora.š The creation of the local testing center TORFL (Russian as a foreign language) is also planned. More than 4000š Russian-speaking immigrants (Russian, Belarusian, Ukrainian, Kyrgyz, Kazakhs, etc.)š are officially registered in Sardinia, butš actually the quantity of potentialš native Russian speakers is much more. The creationšof Russian language and Slavic culture Center must become the contact pointšfor the Russian-speaking diaspora in Sardinia.
