Professional experience:

While working at the International Institute for Applied System Analysis (IIASA), Austria www.iiasa.ac.at, I have been taking part in collaborative international research projects on the system interdisciplinary analysis of global processes (climate change, economic growth, technological development etc). These projects require deep understanding of their substantial disciplinary background (i.e., knowledge in macroeconomics, ecology, demography); developing significant theoretical basis evolving application of the control theory, optimization theory, game theory, econometrics, probability theory, theory of numerical methods and other fields of applied mathematics; and producing software tools. Another part of my activity at IIASA is specifically devoted to preparation of proposals for projects including those for EC within Framework Programme 7. I deal with the entire cycle of proposal preparation: finding partners for consortia, building a concept of a project and distribution of tasks, preparation of a proposal text including financial and legal issues.

My work at the Moscow State University (MSU) www.msu.ru has an academic character: I teach classes (seminars on control theory, lectures on econometrics) and supervise students' research. I am involved in the process of establishing collaboration between the University and industry. In 2009 I acted as an Executive Director of an international Moscow summer school Economic Growth: Mathematical Dimensions held at MSU.
