... The files here will change whenever we have a new beta version that has had an error-free telescope run. ... A few things to note, however, about this "beta" edition: There is almost no error checking on the operation of the filter wheel. ... CCDops has better error checking than XmCCD, so if you have a Windows computer available, check your camera with CCDops when you use it for the first time. ... I have a built-in fixed delay to inhibit multiple requests too fast for the wheel. ...

This document describes changes that will affect users who migrate from XPA 1.0 to XPA 2.0. There have been a few changes that affect users who upgrade XPA from version 1.0 to version 2.0. ... For the SAOtng program, this means that you must explicitly specify the access point, i.e.,: cat foo.fits | xpaset SAOtng fits . ... xpaset SAOtng . By default, xpaset, xpaget, etc. now wait for the server callback to complete; i.e., the old -W is implied (and the switch is ignored). ...
Brad Carter, Carolyn Brown, Rhodes Hart Drew Foster, John Kielkopf, Ron Moore University of Southern Queensland, Australia University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA OVERVIEW Mt Kent Observatory is now providing live remote observations of southern skies as part of a collaborative project between USQ, the University of Louisville, and Northern Kentucky University. ... This enables observers to make daytime use of a remote telescope during its local night-time, and image otherwise inaccessible skies. ...
. Mt. Kent Observatory after sunset on May 23, 2007. This 185-degree fisheye view was recorded with a Nikon D200 and a Coastal Optical Systems f/5.2 4.88 mm focal length lens.
. The Meade 16-inch Schmidt Cassegrain is available for visual observing, and it is equipped with an SBIG ST9 CCD camera and ST10 filterwheel for training in astronomical photometry and color imaging. An STV autoguider provides an electronic finder field, simplifies long exposure imaging. The telescope is controlled by XmTel running on a computer in the roll roof, and it may also be operated from the main building in cold weather. Last update: May 31, 2007 . kielkopf@louisville.edu .
This general purpose telescope enclosure offers simple access to the sky for small instruments. Its truss roof rolls back on the steel I-beams and tracks that extend to the north of the building. A chain drive attached to the underside of the trusses provides the power that makes opening the observatory simple. Heavy steel pins secure the roof when it is closed. ...
