Это цветное изображение (CCD) М7 было получено Тимом Хантером ( Tim Hunter ) и Джеймсом Макагама (James McGaha) с помощью их телескопа ( 24-inch f/5 Newtonian telescope), а также с помощью оборудования Грессландской Обсерватории в Аризоне ( Apogee AP-7 CCD camera, Grasslands Observatory near Tucson, Arizona ).
