. As you ascend the stairs next to the clubhouse, you get to see the observatory up close. We have an observing table lighted with red lights. Some of our extreme DSO's don't even want them on! . The black box looking thing on the observatory, just below the dome, is actually a speaker so we can pipe in music. Not shown in the picture to the left is the attic above the clubhouse.
