1. Red Leaks in UV Filters
The "red leaks" in the UV filters are shown in Figure 3.10 for F122M, F160BW (the new Wood's filter), F170W, F185W, F218W F255W, F300W, and F336W. The presence of significant red leaks in the UV filters, together with the much greater sensitivity and wavelength coverage in the red part of the spectrum, makes calibration of UV observations difficult. ...
