Note on Filters:
NGC 205 is a low mass dwarf companion to the Andromeda Galaxy . It is about 1/3 of an Andromeda diameter away from Andromeda. NGC 205 is unusual in that it has retained some gas in its nuclear regions which is currently fueling a modest amount of star formation. The UIT data should allow individual O-stars to be resolved and seen. This is a high priority target which was missed on Day 2. This current exposure was 693 seconds through the B5 filter.
NGC 2403 is a galaxy very similar to M33 . It is a late-type multi-arm spiral with large scale sta formation. It is also one of the fundamental calibrators of the extragalactic distance scale as it has detectable Cepheids. A total of 1200 seconds were obtained through the A1 and B1 filters.
M104 or NGC 4549 is a bulge dominated edge-on galaxy with a strong dust lane. The degradation of the star light in the UV should be extreme and in comparison with the optical will shed light on the extinction curve for this galaxy. A total of 2150 seconds through the A1,B1 and B5 filters was obtained.
Deep LSB galaxy field The second exposure in the LSB/Deep survey program, with the University of Oregon as the Guest Investigator, was completed. Together with a prematurely short first exposure taken on Day 3, a total of 1950 seconds in the A1 filter have now been obtained on this field.
