So What is JAVA ??

Well its a long story but basically its a new "Internet" programming language that gives instructions to your browser to allow it to execute programs. This means you can run interactive simulations inside a web page and you can code up Interactive experiments

We will certainly be using JAVA applets in class and there will likely be an assignment later that makes use of these in one of the Campus Labs - probably the Klamath Lab.

All versions of Netscape and Internet Explorer higher than 4.0 are JAVA aware browsers.
