LONG SCIENTIFIC VISITS AND INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION

Since 1998 I participate in collaboration with several
Italian scientific groups (Prof. Aldo Treves, University of Como;
Prof. Monica Colpi, University of Milan Bicocca;
Prof. Roberto Turolla, University of Padua).
During that period I had five long (and several short) visits to Italy.

1.) October 2002 - October 2004. Postdoc position at the Univesity of Padua.
2.) April-June 2002 (3 months). Universities of Como and Milan.
3.) October 2001 (1 month). University of Como.
4.) March-July 2000 (3 months). Universities of Como and Milan.
5.) January 1999 (1 month). Universities of Como and Milan.

SELECTED RESEARCH TOPICS

I) Isolated Neutron Stars and Black Holes
(Period Evolution, Magnetic Field Decay,
Accretion onto Isolated Neutron Stars).

1.) Accretion from the interstellar medium onto isolated neutron stars
and black holes.
2.) Magnetorotational evolution of isolated neutron stars.
3.) Population synthesis of isolated neutron stars in the Galaxy.
4.) Local population of young isolated black holes.

II) Binary Stars (Evolution of Close Binaries, Periods of Accreting
Neutron Stars).

1.) Modeling the population of X-ray sources at the Galactic
center: population synthesis of binary systems
and spatial distribution of X-ray sources.
2.) Evolution of population of X-ray sources after the star formation
burst: influence of the Initial Mass Function.
3.) Magneto-rotational evolution of neutron stars in pre-low mass
X-ray binaries.

Projects were (or are) supported by the grants from Russian Foundation
for Basic Research, National Programms ``Astronomy'' and
``Universities of Russia'', ISSEP, RSCI, International Science Foundation,
COSMION, INTAS and italian national foundations.
