SciSim development releases

Changed since v2.2.0

Interface changes of OSIM

As of this version, the configuration of OSIM has changed (see below for more information). It is still possible to mimic the response of previous version by specifying:
   osim --instrPath	instr/fm1
Changes that are visible to the User, are:
Open Area Ratio (oa_ratio)

Formerly a fixed value, the Open Area Ratio is now described in tabular format.

Count Rate Ratio (cr_ratio)

Introduction of a tabular file, that describes the differences between expected count rates and the count rates measured in orbit.

Interface changes of RGASIM

Like the X-ray camera simluators, RGASIM now makes use of the instrument LINCOORD files. The change involve a new entry in the 'models' section of RGASIM:
  rgasim begin
    models begin
      MYMODEL begin
        :
	lincoordFile RGS_coordinates_file.CCF
      end
      :
    end
    :
  end

Configuration change for ESIM,RFCSIM and RGASIM

Exploiting the LINCOORD files as described above, the location of these simluators in the telescope frame are no longer described in the configuration files of SciSim. For now, these variables are set to zero in the configuration files. In future, we may feed them with the telescope orientation w.r.t. space/craft.
    # telescope coordinates w.r.t. space-craft coordinates
    # note: camera coordinates w.r.t. telescope can be found
    # in "lincoordFile" file, in the 'models' section!
    rotation.x 0
    rotation.y 0
    rotation.z 0
    rotation.angle 0
    translation.x 0
    translation.y 0
    translation.z 0
    transform 0
  end

Configuration update for ESIM,RFCSIM

Usage of latest LINCOORD files, as derived by the SAS CCF.

Configuration update for ESIM(EMOS)

Separate gain, noise and CTE values for each CCD

Value change of EMOS camera output for ENERGYE4 field

The contents of ENERGYE4 is now the sum of charges in all pixels BELOW the EDU threshold in the 16 pixels of the outer corona
