Reporting a problem

Before you report a problem you should check if it has already been reported in the help desk's SAS archive.

If you decide to report a problem, then you can do so via the Observation Report (OR) form. Shortly thereafter you will be contacted by the XMM-Newton help desk.

How to report a problem

Please try to give as much information as needed to reproduce your problem. In most cases you'll be asked to send the following information, so you may consider enclosing it right away in your report (not all items apply in all cases):

• Output of the sasversion command.
• Observation identifier
• Information about the CCF in use
• Output of the SAS at verbosity 10

Feedback

You can use the same OR form to let us known what you think on any SAS topic, like: installation procedure, software requirements, whether the instructions are clear or not, etc. When you do this please indicate that you are submitting a feedback OR in the Type box.
