OM Grism Response software (1.0)

Binaries

Binaries for each specific platform might run on similar platforms with higher versions. For example: The binary for Mac OS X 10.2.8 should run on Panther (Mac OS X 10.3.X), and on Tiger (Mac OS X 10.4.X).

Installation instructions

Binaries for each specific platform can be download from here.

Once downloaded, unpack the respective tar.gz archive and get the grismresp binary and the two text data files (OM_Vgrism_efArea.txt and OM_UVgrism_efArea.txt).

You may choose to put the binary in any directory of your PATH for easy running or run it directly where you are going to work. The two text files can be placed in your working directory as well or moved away to any directory you choose. In such a case you must define the environment variable OMGRISMCAL as follows

setenv OMGRISMCAL /directory/with/text/data/files (tcsh/c-sh)

export OMGRISMCAL=/directory/with/text/data/files (sh/bash)

depending of the shell you use.

Running grismresp

To run the grismresp binary, you may invoke it directly as

grismresp

in case you put it in a directory of your PATH, or invoke it as a local executable as

./grismresp

if you just put it into your working directory.
