What is about the patch to SAS 6.5? Do I need new calibration files?

A patch to the SAS 6.5.0 had to be issued to solve a problem produced by the issue of MOS REDIST calibration files which are non-backward compatible with earlier SAS versions (eg. SAS 6.1).

The patch contains new calibration using the mechanism of a different "ALGOID" (increased to a value of 2), which is matched by corresponding calibration files. The corresponding calibration files will be released a couple of weeks after the patch issue.

New calibration files are not essential after the SAS 6.5 patch is installed, since by absence of ALGOID=2 calibration files the ones originally released with SAS 6.5 will be taken. The new files which will replace them in short will produce an error message with older SAS versions, forcing the user to either upgrade SAS or delete the calibration files:
