ONTIME is much shorter than the elapsed time. Am I doing something wrong?

Maybe not. Please check if your SAS_ODF directory contains scheduled and unscheduled exposures of the same instrument and the same exposure number (e.g. files, whose names contain the strings *M2*S002 and M2*U002). In this cases SAS v5.3.0 gets confused, and the times in the latter exposures are associated with the times of the former.

This problem will be fixed by version 3.91 of the OAL and later, to be included in SAS versions 5.3.1 and later. In the meanwhile, a possible workaround is to remove all the files associated with the scheduled exposure in the ODF directory, and run odfingest again:

unix> setenv SAS_ODF ${path_to_my_ODF_files}
unix> rm $SAS_ODF/*M2*Seee*
unix> odfingest -V 5

where eee is the exposure number.

This bug does not affect the determination of the ontime for scheduled exposures.
