Note that asmooth is designed to work with images produced from EPIC data, but any FITS image can be used, provided that it meets the required data-type criteria.

  1. (Mandatory) A FITS image to be smoothed. The data type may be any of those output by evselect, eg int8, int16, int32, real32 or real64.
  2. (Optional) A FITS template image of data type real32.
  3. (Optional) A FITS variance image, of any of the data types output by evselect.
  4. (Optional) A FITS detector mask image, of any of the data types output by evselect. The exposure map is recommended.
  5. (Optional) A FITS source list produced by eboxdetect or emldetect.
  6. (Optional) A FITS exposure map image, as produced by eexpmap.
