Since I was a kid IтАЩve always wanted to be a superhero, a ballerina, an astronaut or a professional whistler. Some unforeseen life turns (somehow IтАЩve never developed the X-Ray vision, nor learned the fouett†й rond de jambe en tournant) prevented me to reach these goals. Still aiming to shoot for the stars, I became an astronomer.
You can find me at STScI, where I spent half of my time studying star formation and stellar evolution in nearby galaxies (mostly the Small Magellanic Cloud) and half supporting the Wide Field Camera 3.
Few months ago I decided to face my irrational arachnophobia, so for the months coming IтАЩll often look at the Tarantula Nebula in the Large Magellanic Cloud.
