An example of the DSS I (left) and DSS II (right) images used for determining the coordinates and the proper motions. The images are 10'x10' around LHS 36 at epochs 1953.28 and 1995.15, respectively. Notice the large movement of LHS 36 during the two epochs. North is up, and east is to the left. (This is Fig.3 of the article).

Short Article: The short version of the article in pdf and postscript formats (27 pages). The table in this version contains information on 528 stars which represent the high proper-motion subset (mu > 1"/yr) of the LHS catalogue.
