PMSU2 - Table 3: Kinematics


Proper motions, radial velocities and space motions for pCNS3 late-K and M dwarfs south of declination=-30o. Astrometric data are primarily from the pCNS3, supplemented by more recent observations where possible; radial velocities are mainly from PMSU1, again updated to include more recently obtained higher-accuracy data (notably from PMSU3). Column 6 lists the source of these data: at present, all are from PMSU (source=1).
The (U, V, W) space motions are in the same sense as the pCNS3: U is positive towards the Galactic centre; V is positive in the direction of rotation; and W is directed perpendicular to the Plane, positive towards the North Galactic Pole.
