PMSU2 - Table 1B

PMSU2 - Table 1B

Positions. distances and estimated absolute magnitudes for southern (dec < -30o) late-type binary companions listed in pCNS3. All of these stars were too close to the primary to allow observation as part of the PMSU. The format of this table is similar to Table 1A, save that the position and distance information are for the primary star in the system. Positions are taken from the following sources:
1. Co-ordinates measured at the Palomar 60-inch telescope
2. Co-ordinates measured at either the Palomar 200-inch telescope, Keck or the AAT
3. HST Guide Star catalogue (version 1)
4. pCNS3
5. Digital Sky Survey images
6. Hipparcos
Column 9 lists the apparent magnitude of the primary, column 10, the estimated magnitude difference (at V), and column 11, the separation, in arcseconds. Column 12 gives the contribution from parallax data to the distance estimate - see Table 1A for coding.
