During several years of research on active galactic nuclei, I gained solid experience in both observing at the telescope and reducing optical ground- and space-based observations. My researches are focused on BL Lacertae objects and High Polarization Quasars, of which I have extensively studied the emission line luminosity, the broad-band flux energy distribution, and the host galaxy. During the last two years I concentrated my efforts on HST WFPC2 observation of a large sample of BL Lac. Thanks to the superior resolution of HST, the data will represent a significant step toward a final understanding of the true physical properties of BL Lac host.
