NOTES ABOUT USC DATE RANGES USED:
- All of these USCs apply only to non-SMOV, non-CAL/ENG, GTO/GO/DD visits (except
for NIC_CRYOs which go on every non-CAL/ENG visit containing NICMOS).
- All STIS USC enable date ranges are derived from the recommendations
contained in the STIS Team memo covering the SMOV TTRB minutes from 97May29.
Q: Are there any of these !@#$*& USCs of LRP's I can delete?!
A: Yes--but only USCs with "TEMP" or "TMP" in them. All others, please
notify lrpg@stsci.edu first...otherwise they could very well reappear!
Q: When did my visits get these USCs?
A: Some are added nightly. A batch job kicks off between 7:30 & 8pm,
examining the visit and exposure structure in ASSIST, adding and
removing USCs as needed.
Q: What do these USCs mean?
- All STIS USCs (except LRP_STIS_MT) have to do with enable dates
for given modes of STIS.
- GTO_WFII: The GTOs are having their funding reduced for the next fiscal
year, so we are trying to plan all GTO/WF2 observations before that time
unless there is no other choice.
- WFPC2_C7: Because of the priority scheme outlined for cycle 7,
these USCs allowed Cycle 7 WFPC2 to be reserved for later in the plan.
Q: How do I get rid of these USCs?
A: We prefer that you don't. They could reappear again overnight! Contact your
LRPer about having the date range relaxed (if possible) to let the visits
fly (please don't do it yourself without letting LRPG know--the change
could be undone automatically--the software is continually under development).
