Subject: Initial estimate of visits lost from safing
Date: Sat, 14 Dec 1996 20:05:47 -0500 (EST)

Below is a cut out section from the two calendar's gaps reports. From Rodger's
note it appears the safing occured 349:15:30. George said they are trying to
intercept at ~351:18. Assuming 0652204 is lost because of recovery activities,
we have lost about 31 orbits of HRS/FOS and 1 orbit of non-spec external
observations.

Subject: Falloffs from Saturday's safing
Date: Tue, 17 Dec 1996 15:44:46 -0500 (EST)

Hi Ron,

Peg asked me to send you a listing of what fell off from the safing on
Saturday.

0646503
0646601
0662002
0653402
0653902
0605305
0659202

Note that 0653901 is what was in the safed timeframe. However, it is linked to
02. Visit 02 was scheduled later on the 96351 calendar and is useless without
the offset saved by 01. As the calendar was being rebuilt, 01 replaced 02.
This way, 01 could record the offset and 02 could be put into the pool and at
least have some chance of executing correctly.

These visits are being placed into the contingency pool and will be scheduled
if possible.
