Subject: SCI: FLASH: SIC&DH Lock-up Recovery Plan

An anomaly briefing was held at 8:45 AM to review the SIC&DH lockup
event of 270/0937 GMT.

Charts are postedб at http://edocs.hst.nasa.gov/hstsysman/default.aspx.

Recovery of the SIC&DH and the SIs is now underway.б Ops Requests 19139,
129140, and 19141, and 19142 will be executed.б Since ACS was in anneal
at the time of the event Ops Request 19141 will safe ACS to terminate
the anneal.б SI recoveries from Pseudo-Boot mode will be done in
real-time.

Current SMS plan is for a delivery around 3 PM of an SMS that will
create an SMS boundary.б That SMS should be uplinked around 6 PM with
start time of 10 PM.б Then the new SMS (cold start for NSSC-1) should be
received around 6 PM with execution start time of 6 AM.

A flash report will be sent out this evening after the NSSC-1 load is
uplinked for the start of the new SMS, pointer set,

and FOT is ready to return to unstaffed autonomous operations. б б SI SE
will monitor the transition to the science

SMS remotely in the morning and send out a follow up flash report.
