Strategy for Increasing Support for SM4
Recruited 3 new DAs for HST support. We have recruited 7 Term-hire Scientists (3-yr terms).

Our subcontract with JHU provides up to 3.0 FTE.
Currently comprised of 3 ~half-time scientists with FUSE, STIS, and WFPC2 experience. All personnel in place and contributing.

Recruiting 4 ESA positions, 3 for instrument support.

Staffing after SM4
A full complement of ESA scientists should be in place. We expect close-out work on WFPC2 to be complete by the end of CY2008. These staff will migrate to WFC3, COS, and ACS support. We expect decreased demand for NICMOS in Cycle 17 and beyond (coronagraphic, high-res, or long- obs). Many of these staff will migrate to WFC3. Required staffing for STIS and ACS will be adjusted based on Cycle 17 proposal selection and the outcome of SM4.
