Information for Students on the Womens Science Forum

Are you wondering what a career in science research or engineering would be like? You are not alone! The Women's Science Forum wants to help you to meet other young women with the same questions, as well as meet women that have built successful careers in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

At WSF events you will be given opportunities to speak directly to women scientists and engineers about what they do, and how they made their decision to go into their respective fields. They will also be available to answer your questions about what to expect in your career field of interest, how best to prepare for college and/or a career, as well as other tips on building a fulfilling and interesting career.

At WSF events you will also get to take part in hands-on activities. Depending on the activities planned for the event you attend, you may be building a simple electric motor, using a spectroscope just like an astronomer, analyzing water samples or sailing a local tributary with just the stars to guide you!

If this sounds interesting to you please contact your favorite science or mathematics teacher and tell them you need a nomination! Point your teacher to the WSF website and get them involved! We want your teachers to come too!
