The Quick Reaction Camera (QRC) project will install four 0.4 meter telescopes in a remotely-operated global network to provide ground-based follow-up observations to high-energy transient events detected by the High Energy Transient Experiment (HETE) satellite, due to be launched later this year. A large fraction of the telescope time will be devoted to so-called "background" science, including a proposed program to detect the photometric light curve features produced by planets partially eclipsing other stars. An analysis of the capabilities of the QRC network for photometric detection and a progress report are reported here.
