Documentation for APT

Most APT documentation is available from this web site. Look to the left and choose "Training Materials" or one of the step-by-step roadmaps.

After you have brought up APT you will see a "Help" menu on the top menu bar. From here you can also bring up the documents that will help you to learn APT.

Phase I: You can bring up Phase I Specific APT Training Materials to learn about using APT to submit your Phase I proposal. There are also links to the Phase I Call for Proposals, HST Primer, and Instrument Handbooks. These are the same documents you will find on the HST Website.

Phase II: You can bring up Phase II Specific APT Training Materials to learn about using APT to submit your Phase II proposal. There are also links to the Phase II Instructions and Instrument Handbooks. These are the same documents you will find on the HST Website.

Asking Questions, Reporting Bugs, Making Comments

Questions: If you are having problems using APT, please let us know. It doesn't matter if you are using it to prepare your HST proposal or not, if you don't understand how to use it we need to know that. We will try to get back to you quickly with instructions or a work around. Simply email: help@stsci.edu.

Bugs: If you find a bug in APT, please tell us. If possible, please include what you remember doing before you had the problem and what platform you have installed it on. Send mail to: help@stsci.edu. If you are in a hurry you can check our FAQ & Bug List for known problems and workarounds.

Comments: If you just want to provide comments to the developers (this step was tedious, this was step was confusing) you can use the new "Feedback" button in the upper right corner of the GUI. Alternatively you can keep a log of issues and send it to us when the user survey comes out after the deadline. We appreciate your feedback in either form.
