Questions Observing_Description: The proposed science is to obtain spectroscopic observations of a crowded field of compact objects (e.g., stars or distant galaxies), with the grisms G141 and G206. Since the field is crowded enough that individual spectra will overlap, observations at three different telescope roll angles are performed, implying three separate visits (in this example, the visits will be required to be 1 month apart from each other). To locate each object in the field and identify each spectrum, the grism observations are paired with images in the F150W filter for G141 and in the F175W filter for G206. The G206 grism is affected by the thermal emission from the telescope and saturates after about 30 seconds. For such short exposures, the readout mode ACCUM can be used, and multiple iterations of the exposures will be performed to increase the signal-to-noise ratio. The number of reads in the ACCUM mode is chosen to be NREAD=1, since the observations become quickly background dominated. A dither pattern will take care of background subtraction for not-too-crowded fields, for the F175W and G206.
