New NICMOS Information on the WWW
---------------------------------

Similar to all Space Telescope Instruments, the NICMOS home page on
the World Wide Web is updated with all instrument developments. The
NICMOS home page can be found by visiting the STScI WWW page
(http://www.stsci.edu/) and following Observing links to the NICMOS
Web pages.

Since last month, the following items have been newly posted:

    * NICMOS Reference Files List has been update (8 April 1998)
    * NICMOS Instrument Status PAGE has been update (29 April 1998)
    * NICMOS Parallel Program PAGE has been update (29 April 1998)

THE NICMOS PHOTOMETRY UPDATE WEB PAGE
-------------------------------------

The NICMOS Photometry Update WEB page has recently been created with the idea
of covering all issues related to NICMOS photometry. This page includes
several sections covering absolute photometry updates, photometric stability
of the cameras, differential photometry accross detectors and many other
topics. This page is constantly updated as we get new results. Please go to

http://www.stsci.edu/ftp/instrument_news/NICMOS/nicmos_doc_phot.html

for the latest news regarding NICMOS photometry.

UPDATE OF CAMERA 1 and CAMERA 2 PHOTOMETRY
------------------------------------------

A preliminary update of NICMOS photometric keywords for all camera plus
filter combinations was released soon after NICMOS was installed on orbit.
This preliminary delivery was based on a limited number of measurements
taken for a few filters during the Servicing Mission Observatory Verification
phase (SMOV). Recently, the photometric keywords for all NIC1 and NIC2 filters
have been updated based on the observations of two independent absolute
spectrophotometric standards obtained through all the available filters.
The newest photometric table i3g1220an_pht supersedes all previous tables.
Future updates of the photometric table will include new values for all
NIC3 filters (still based on SMOV measurements) as well as new values for
the NIC1 narrow-band filters for which on-orbit flats are not available
(i.e. F095N, F108N and F113N).

New Special Requirements for Proposal Processing
------------------------------------------------

In processing your proposal, STScI personnel may need to add one or more of the
special requirements listed below. These will have little impact on how RPS2
works on your program, however they may be necessary for downstream processing.
Please do not alter these if you should need to resubmit your proposal. As
always, please download the most recent version of your proposal from
http://presto.stsci.edu/public/propinfo.html before altering and resubmitting
it.

These special requirement keywords will be added, as needed, by your Program
Coordinator after discussing with you the pertinent implementation issues
that forced its inclusion. Please contact your PC with any questions you
might have.
