REVISED ST ScI GENERAL GRANT PROVISIONS 3/02



The Space Telescope Science Institute would like to announce the latest
revision of the General Grant Provisions 3/02. A copy of the document is
available on our Web site at http://www.stsci.edu/ftp/stsci/grants/. This
document supersedes all versions previously issued. The primary changes
are as follows:

1. General revisions were made throughout the document to reflect the
administration of ST ScI grants using the electronic Grants Management
System (GMS).

2. Sections XI., XIV. and XV.

Form numbers were changed to reflect the new GMS forms. Included are
financial reports and budgets.

3. Section VIII., Article J.: Indirect Costs

The term "indirect costs" was defined as including "Facilities and
Administrative" (F&A), "Overhead" (OH), and "General and
Administrative" (G&A) costs.

4. Section XVIII., Transfer Procedures

The transfer procedures, including the necessary documentation to
facilitate the transfer of funds from one institution to another or
from one investigator to another, were updated. The full text of the
revised provision may be found on pages 19 - 20.

5. Section XXIV., Grantee Responsibility

The annual submission of a current A-133 Audit Report (where
applicable) was included. The full text of the revised provision may
be found on pages 23 - 24.

6. Section XIII. and XXII.

The number of copies of publications to be submitted to the ST ScI
Librarian changed from two to one.
