1.0 ACTIVITIES SCHEDULED AND ACCOMPLISHED:

1.1 Completed Seventeen Sets of NIC/1/2/3 7726 (NICMOS One Orbit Parallel)

The Near Infrared Camera (Cameras One, Two and Three) was used to
make a one orbit parallel calibration observations. The observations were
executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

1.2 Completed Sixteen Sets of STIS/CCD 7675 (STIS Non-Scripted Parallel
Archive Proposal)

The Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (CCD) was used in the
parallel mode to obtain slitless spectroscopy with the G750L grating to
search for emission line galaxies at intermediate to high redshift. The
observations were completed as planned, and no anomalies were reported.

1.3 Completed STIS/CCD 7675 (STIS Non-Scripted Parallel Archive Proposal)

The Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (CCD) was used in the

search for emission line galaxies at intermediate to high redshift. The

1.4 Completed Six Sets of NIC/1/2/3 7729 (NICMOS Short One Orbit Parallel)

The Near Infrared Camera (Cameras One, Two and Three) was used to
obtain "JHK" imaging of sky regions while another instrument was prime.
These observations were part of the short NICMOS one orbit parallel
program. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies
were noted.

1.5 Completed Eight Sets of STIS/CCD 7727 (STIS Non-Scripted Parallel
Archive Proposal)

The Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (CCD) was used to obtain
parallel slitless spectroscopy with the G750L grating to search for
emission line galaxies at intermediate to high redshift. Field galaxy
surveys have shown that at high redshift most galaxies have strong emission
lines, and are compact and blue. The observations were completed as
planned, and no anomalies were reported.

1.6 Completed WF/PC-2 6438 (Dust Structure in Backlit Galaxies)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the backlit Galaxy
AM1316-241 in order to study its dust structure. This effect is produced
by a pair of overlapping galaxies which offer an unusually direct way to
measure the extinction within the disk of spiral galaxies. The
observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported.

1.7 Completed FGS 7489 (Triton's Atmospheric Structure: Problems With
Present Models)

The Fine Guidance Sensors were used to make photometric and
astrometric observations of the Moon Triton during an occultation of a
bright field star. This to observe these events using the FGS both as a
high-speed photometer and in its normal role for occultation astrometry
before and after each event. The observations were executed as scheduled,
and no anomalies were noted.

1.8 Completed WF/PC-2 6581 (Morphology and Photometry of Galaxies in
Optically Selected High Redshift Clusters)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the galactic cluster
Gal-Clus-2 in order to make photometric observations and to study its
morphology. The high angular resolution imagery of HST, combined with the
extensive ground based u, v, B, g, V, R, I and z photometry and
spectroscopy, will allow the measurement of the morphological fractions in
distant clusters as functions of redshift, color, spectral features, galaxy
density, and global cluster properties such as core radius and ellipticity.
The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were
reported.

1.9 Completed WF/PC-2 6000 (Galaxies in High Redshift Clusters)

The WF/PC-2 was used to obtain deep broad-band images of the
high-redshift galaxy cluster Gal-Clus-1. The objective is to study the
morphology of this clusters, and compare it with nearby clusters. The
observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

1.10 Completed NIC/2/WF/PC-2 7450 (The Formation of Bulges of Spiral
Galaxies: Central Visual-Infrared Color Gradients)

The WF/PC-2 and the Near Infrared Camera (Camera Two) were used to
make observations of the bulges in spiral galaxies NGC-5719 and NGC-5854 in
order to obtain high-resolution optical and near infrared images for a
complete survey sample of bulges of spiral galaxies. The observations were
completed as scheduled, and no anomalies were reported.

1.11 Completed Three Sets of WF/PC-2 6253 (Pure Parallel Archive Program)

The WF/PC-2 was used to execute a pure parallel program taking
ultraviolet observations running concurrently with prime science
observations. The intent is to search for extra-galactic sources with flux
excesses at 3000 A0 and galactic sources with excesses at 1600 A0. The
observations were completed as planned, and no problems were reported.

1.12 Completed STIS/MA1/CCD 7097 (STIS MAMA Vignetting, Spatial Resol.
In Spectroscopic Modes)

The Space Telescope Imaging Spectrograph (MA1 and CCD) was used to
make spectrographic observations of star GD153 in order to study the
systems vignetting and spatial resolution. These observations are intended
to measure STIS relative response to a point source in the first order
modes along the slit direction. The observations were executed as
scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

1.13 Completed WF/PC-2 6469 (Pyramid Imaging of Circumstellar Material
About Nearby Stars)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the curcumstellar
material around the nearby star HD158643. The WF/PC-2 pyramid was used as
a coronagraph to detect the circumstellar material. The observations were
executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

1.14 Completed WF/PC-2 6625 (The Second-Parameter Effect and the
Formation History of the Milky Way Galaxy)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of globular cluster
NGC-6101 in order to study the second-parameter effect and formation
history of the Milky Way Galaxy. Observations were made of this galactic
globular cluster in order to establish an unbiased correlation between the
morphology of the horizontal branch, the age of the cluster for a fixed
metallicity. The observations were completed as planned, and no anomalies
were reported.

1.15 Completed WF/PC-2 6502 (Evolution and Excitation of Bipolar Nebulae)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the bipolar nebula MZ-3
in order to study its evolution and excitation. Understanding the physics
of bipolar nebulae is a key means of probing the mass loss history of stars
from their youngest (YSOs, HH objects) to their most evolved stages
(planetary nebulae, PNe and LBVs). The observations were completed as
scheduled, and no anomalies were reported.

1.16 Completed Three Sets of NIC/2 7325 (The Small Scale Structure of
Protostellar Disks and Infall Envelopes)

The Near Infrared Camera (Camera Two) was used to make images of the
protostellar system STAR-16272 in order to study the small scale structure
of the disks and infall envelopes. HST has provided striking images of
circumstellar disks towards young stars, as seen silhouetted in absorption
against bright nebular backgrounds. The advent of the near-infrared NICMOS
camera on HST brings subarcsecond imaging to even younger sources,
protostars. The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies
were noted.

1.17 Completed WF/PC-2 6720 (The Evolution of Radio Loud Quasars II)

The WF/PC-2 was used to make observations of the radio loud quasar
MRC1349-26 as part of a mini-survey to study its evolution and morphology.
The observations were executed as scheduled, and no anomalies were noted.

2.3 Operations Notes:

The CCCK62 V/T level was changed from 3 to 4 at 199/2030Z.

The SSR Interrupt Log was dumped at 199/2116Z, 200/2116Z, and 201/1909Z.

During one of the iterations of the proposal described in 1.2, at
200/125249Z, the STIS low voltage power supply current on side 1 flagged
out-of-limits high. The limit is 9.50 A and the value reported was 9.71 A.
This event occurred at the end of a CCD exposure and was reported in HSTAR
6127.

Continuation of normal science and SMOV operations.
