Many of us dream of "seeing the world," but few of us ever expect to see it as an astronaut doesÿfrom space. Thus, it is a special treat to travel along in our imaginations with Dr. Jay Apt as he takes us on a world tour from an astronautós perspective. With lively commentary on photographs taken by the crew of the U.S. Space Shuttle fleetós 50th journey into space, Flight Engineer Jay Apt continues a tradition begun with the Apollo astronauts of relaying warmly and intelligently this unique perspective of our home from space. In doing so, he conveys the essence of all of our nationós best and bravest space explorers: their adventurous spirit, historical interest, scientific knowledge, and visionary skills.
